New Apraxia Research website provides support and information for families with children battling verbal apraxia

The new website, ApraxiaResearch.com, provides resources and information for parents and professionals regarding research developments for the treatment of verbal, oral, and motor apraxia.

(PRWEB) March 30, 2009 -- Families and professionals seeking answers and information concerning verbal apraxia and related conditions now have a new resource at their disposal. www.ApraxiaResearch.com is dedicated to providing research and developments in the treatment of verbal, oral, and motor apraxia. Apraxia is a neurogenic impairment involving planning, executing, and sequencing motor movements. NourishLife with www.ApraxiaResearch.com is leading an initiative seeking to understand how certain nutrients play a key role in reducing inflammation and oxidation which appear to be a formidable issue in individuals with this challenging speech disorder.

Mark Nottoli, founder of NourishLife states: "Through our own research on the internet, we realized that there wasn't a comprehensive site dealing directly with nutritional support and verbal apraxia. Our team has worked extensively with leading experts to provide the most current, relevant information on the background and treatment of verbal apraxia."

One of NourishLife's ongoing goals is the dissemination of information on apraxia and related disorders in children. Designed for both parents and professionals, www.ApraxiaResearch.com provides general research and information on apraxia including background information, prevalence, and causes as well as a comprehensive glossary of terms, clinical research, research publications, articles, study findings, and media updates.

In addition, the site contains information concerning an ongoing study group involving nutritional support for verbal apraxia. By participating in the study group, a select group of families will receive the nutritional supplement speak complimentary for a 2 month study period. In return, those participating will be asked to provide detailed information about their child's experience. Interested families can apply at www.ApraxiaResearch.com.

Nottoli continued: "We're proud to provide a dedicated site where parents of children with apraxia can go to learn more about their child's condition and options available to them. Recent developments regarding certain nutrients and their role in helping children with verbal apraxia and related conditions are of special interest to parents and professionals, and www.ApraxiaResearch.com is the leading site to provide the most current, extensive information." Those interested in learning more can visit www.ApraxiaResearch.com.
