Kagi Aims to Increase Conversions with Simplified Shopping Experience

Share Article

Starting with the premise that the shopping experience should adjust to the shopper and not the other way around, Kagi restructures the shopping experience to lead the prospective buyer smoothly through the sales process. Making the experience feel natural and seamless to each buyer increases the likelihood of the buyer completing the transaction and becoming a repeat customer.

The new shopping experience is geared to accelerate sales for our suppliers and to make the purchasing process intuitive to buyers

Kagi, an ecommerce pioneer, unveils a simplified shopping experience that aims to please suppliers and shoppers alike.

The Simplified Shopping Experience offers buyers:

  • Simpler, easier forms, less visual clutter.
  • Payment methods displayed in the buyer currency, eliminating confusion and errors.
  • Freedom from entering unnecessary data. For example, the shipping information area is not displayed if the buyer indicates that the shipping data is the same as billing data. Credit card type is not requested, removing a frequent tripping point for shoppers.
  • Location specific presentation, e.g. orders from buyers in the European Union (EU) automatically display a place for VAT exemption information and offer a printable VAT receipt.

Suppliers selling through Kagi will appreciate the option to use either Kagi defined store templates or the unprecedented flexibility to completely and easily tailor the look and feel of the store to meet their business model and match their branding.

"The new shopping experience is geared to accelerate sales for our suppliers and to make the purchasing process intuitive to buyers," says Kee, Kagi's CEO. "That's a lot harder than it sounds when you deal with suppliers and buyers from over 90 countries every day. It's like building an elegant building. The simpler and more organic it seems the more effort it takes to create."

"This is just the first step," continues Nethery, "Our goal is to eliminate as many barriers as possible that stand between a buyer and a completed purchase. Over the coming weeks the new shopping experience will be localized to automatically display in French, German, Japanese or Spanish, depending on the origin of the buyer. Other languages and region specific experiences will be rolled out in the months ahead."
