Due to the increase in internet based trade and the cost of pay per click advertising, many e-commerce and online traders are finding it difficult to compete without optimising their website. Sheffield SEO provider SEO'Clock is seeing an upturn in interest in this online method of marketing, and has announced three new projects.

In the last 12 months we have been approached by 10 times the number of firms over the previous year. Sheffield is a big city with many internet based small to medium sized businesses, and they are all buzzing about the potential of SEO incorporated to their marketing efforts

Many small to medium size businesses are finding the economic downturn a real eye opener. With almost every market place in the UK struggling for trade, and many small firms struggling to make ends meet, it is more important now than ever to know how profitable a business is. Making ends meet, managing cash flow and maintaining sales are all vital to survive the downturn.

One Sheffield SEO company, SEO Clock, has seen an increase in interest over the last 12 months: "A few years ago we were having to explain what SEO was. Search engine optimization is now recognised by more businesses, as the industry has gained more publicity in the media" said Neil Palmer, general manager of SEO Clock. He added: "In the last 12 months we have been approached by 10 times the number of firms over the previous year. Sheffield is a big city with many internet based small to medium sized businesses, and they are all buzzing about the potential of SEO incorporated to their marketing efforts".

SEO'Clock have just announced partnerships with three new local projects, two internet based and one local Sheffield Builder. Mr Palmer was happy to take on new clients after the success enjoyed with 'Internet Kitchen Appliances': "We have many enquiries but to take on three new challenges in these tough times is a step in the right direction for our partners and our business. The local Sheffield builders is a great challenge as it is a sector we have not targeted before, and we are looking forward to seeing how the site performs."

Mr Palmer went on to add: "The price comparison market is massive- and so is the competition. We are taking on Price King and Compare Base with four full time members of staff, so this is a serious project on all fronts. Getting to the top of the rankings for 100 categories, a million products and 250 manufacturers will be the impossible challenge, but one we are looking forward to. We will aim for the stars, and hopefully land somewhere around the moon".

SEOClock has been trading in Sheffield for 3 years as a dedicated search engine optimization provider. They specialise in Google and Yahoo organic rankings, and build CSS based websites to maximise rankings potential. They can be contacted via their website or by calling the number provided.
