RestorationSOS® and BoardUp.com Launch a Partnership Program to Service Rising Number of Foreclosed Homes Left Vacant
RestorationSOS® and Boardup.com are responding to the crisis in the housing market, teaming up with real estate agencies across the country to provide cost effective restoration and board up services for foreclosed properties.
(PRWEB) April 16, 2009 -- With the number of foreclosed homes rapidly increasing, the demand for restoration and board up services are on the rise. RestorationSOS® - America's largest disaster restoration network - and online board up provider BoardUp.com have recently launched a partnership program designed to allow real estate agents, banks, and lenders to easily and cost effectively maintain foreclosed homes.
The current economic and housing crisis has left a greater number of homes abandoned as foreclosed properties multiply. While vacant, it is essential (and often, required by law) that these properties are properly boarded up and secured.
Boarding up a foreclosed home is often a task assigned to the listing agent by the seller, in this case, a bank or a lending firm. Due to the nature of these board-up jobs, most REALTORS® are required to provide the seller with multiple competitive service quotes, a task that can be extremely time consuming for today's busy real estate agents.
In response to these trends, RestorationSOS® in collaboration with BoardUp.com has developed a REALTOR®-targeted partnership program, allowing real estate agents and lenders to save time and use a one stop web platform to receive multiple estimates for all their board up needs.
Jonathan Holland of RestorationSOS® confirms: "Since the beginning of the crisis in the housing market, we have witnessed a sharp increase in demand for our services as in most municipalities, vacant properties are required by law to be properly secured. Working closely with real estate agencies, we learned about the strict guidelines requiring a listing agent to "shop around" for the best deal and compare multiple service quotes and we decided to respond. To accommodate these needs we are now making all of our resources available to our REALTOR® partners, making it easy to receive and compare multiple instant quotes by submitting a request form on BoardUp.com or by calling our 24 hour hotline."
Mold and water damage are other common problem associated with vacant properties. Foreclosed properties are never heated in the winter and therefore are more exposed to pipe bursts, water damage and mold growth. Rarely monitored, these properties are more vulnerable to extensive damage that can go unnoticed, leading to additional decrease in value which makes selling it in "as-is" terms even harder.
To help listing agents with repairs for water damaged properties, RestorationSOS® is now providing its partners with new tools to find, compare, and hire restoration contractors anywhere in the country, any time of the day.
"Our extensive involvement with real estate agents encouraged us to find out-of-the-box solutions during these hard times," Jonathan adds. "Understanding the unique needs arising from the current crisis, we were able to develop a partnership program that provides enhanced services to the housing industry. We are helping our partners to save time and money while keeping our guarantee for prompt response and professional service that are second to none."
