InventHelp®, America's leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Seaford, N.Y., has designed a built-in deodorizing accessory that would help to keep garbage cans and surrounding areas free of offensive odors. This invention is patented.

The "Industrial Garbage Scent" would help to eliminate unpleasant odors in garbage cans, diaper pails and other types of waste receptacles. For use in an industrial setting or around the home, the invention could also be used to repel bees, wasps, insects and other pests from gathering at trash receptacles. The invention would feature an adhesive back to allow it to be attached easily to the underside of the lid. According to the inventor, The Industrial Garbage Scent could also actually be built into a garbage can lid, and sold along with the garbage can.

The design is a circular scent disk that would contain a fragranced, industrial-strength deodorizer. To use, an individual would attach the disk to the underside of a garbage can lid. The user would unscrew the lid of the disk and insert the deodorizer into the housing of the disk. The surface of the housing would feature multiple holes to allow the scent to be distributed evenly. When the deodorizer has lost its scent, the individual simply places a new scent disk into the housing. A variation of the invention could include deodorizers featuring pest and insect repellant.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
