New Designer Handbag Website has Purses that are 'Faux Real'

Share Article live up to their name as being one of the few prudent resources that has real brands that are accessible to the public at large. The site launched recently in January and has started a new blog to run in conjunction.

When entrepreneur Marc Fortier decided to start his own web-based business, he wanted to focus on something that would not only be appealing, but would also be helpful in today's unstable economy.

"There's a lot of websites online that have knock off handbags and people will buy them, but it's never going to be as good as the real thing," said Fortier.

Instead of putting up cheap imitation bags, Fortier carries high-end, authentic designer handbags, but is able to sell them at a fraction of the price that department stores sell them at through his website,

Fortier started the website in January 2009 and it has since been gaining traction for the go-to website for women who are interested in Prada, Gucci, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, J.P. Todd's and Fendi handbags and purses.

"Replicated bags will fall apart very quickly," said Fortier. "The bags on my site, because they are real, will last years, if not a lifetime.

"I realize that for some people buying a name brand is just paying for a name, but the reality is that they're paying for quality and longevity of the product as well."

Yet for that longevity, a customer will pay a lower cost than compared to some of the bigger retail outlets that these brands are found at. In addition to his already well-stocked catalog, Fortier is still seeking to include other companies on his site.

"I would like to add Coach," he said, "but I'm more than happy with the brands that we have on now."

Another feature that Fortier has on his site is an informational blog,

The blog contains the history of some of the designers that are on Fortier's site, as well as some reviews of the latest handbags and new chic trends that are emerging.

Though the times are shifting towards something better, being frugal is never a bad idea and with a website like, it's easy to be fashionable and economical at the same time.
