California Woman Sues Nagila Pizza for Food Poisoning
Nagila Pizza is being sued by Sherri Hoffman for allegedly serving contaminated food that caused her food poisoning. Hoffman had attended a party in Los Angeles catered by Nagila Pizza. Orange County, CA (PRWEB) April 2, 2009 -- Nagila Pizza is being sued by Sherri Hoffman for allegedly serving contaminated food that gave her food poisoning. California personal injury law firm Bisnar Chase is representing Hoffman. The case was filed in the Superior Court of the State of California, Los Angeles County, Case #SC101874 with Judge Joseph S. According to court documents, on March 4, 2007, Hoffman had attended a party in Los Angeles where vegetarian pizza, vegetarian lasagna and various salads were served by caterer Nagila Pizza. After consuming the food, Hoffman and other guests became ill. Hoffman's illness was severe enough for her to be hospitalized, causing her to miss work. Hoffman alleges that Nagila Pizza negligently prepared, stored and sold contaminated food.
In her lawsuit, Hoffman is asking for reimbursement of wages, hospital and medical expenses and general and compensatory damages.
