Nash, former Under Secretary of Agriculture and currently a senior advisor to James Lee Witt Associates, has agreed to join its Critical Infrastructure Protection Strategic Advisory Group (CIPSAG). Nash joins a bi-partisan advisory group of homeland security, emergency management and humanitarian aid industry leaders that includes former Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Director, Joe M. Allbaugh and former Deputy Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Stephen McHale.

In addition to heading up his own consultancy - Bob J. Nash & Associates (BJNA) - Mr. Nash serves as a Senior Advisor to James Lee Witt Associates (JLWA), a preparedness services and crisis management consulting firm. Witt Associates is a part of GlobalOptions Group, Inc. JLWA is headed by James Lee Witt - President Clinton's long-time FEMA director who oversaw America's response to more than 350 declared disasters during his tenure as FEMA director from 1993-2001. Nash has been a colleague of Witt's for nearly 30 years and provides a wealth of experience in creating solutions and addressing challenges across a wide range of government and business operations.
Nash has a long and successful career in policy development, government operations and politics. During the 2008 Presidential Primaries, he was deputy campaign manager for the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign. Prior to joining Senator Clinton's campaign, Nash was vice chairman of the ShoreBank Corporation, America's first community development and environmental bank holding company.
During the Clinton Administration, Nash served as Under Secretary of Rural & Community Development at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and later Assistant to the President & White House Director of Presidential Personnel. In this position, he successfully directed the recruitment, nomination and appointment process for approximately 11,000 full- and part-time federal non-career appointees.
Nash has been a board member or officer for numerous boards and commissions. Among them, he was vice president of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation where his work focused on community and economic development grant making. He currently serves on the boards of the Illinois Medical District Commission, the Environmental Law and Policy Center in Chicago as well as the board of Jobs for the Future, Incorporated in Boston.
Nash joins an existing CIPSAG roster of exceptional leaders from across the homeland security, emergency response, and humanitarian aid spectrum. This list includes Joe M.
