Cape Fox Professional Services (CPFS) is partnering with Lee Parks, motorcycle racer and best-selling author, to conduct a series of advanced motorcycle training courses for Marines as part of the Traffic Safety and Recreational Off-Duty Safety (TS/RODS) Contract. The contract modification will introduce the 'Total Control' courses to the Western United States Marine Corps Installations. All courses will be taught by Lee Parks-certified instructors.
Lee Parks 'Total Control' is a nationally recognized motorcycle training course designed for the experienced rider that wants to take their riding to the next level. 'Total Control' starts with classroom training, then moves its emphasis, range training, which trains riders to safely operate high-powered sport-bikes AND hardy cruisers. The course takes riders through several situations and topics of motorcycle safety, from attitude and concentration, to speed and cornering.
"The opportunity to work with Lee Parks and have 'Total Control' as a part of our program is a great feat for the Marine Corps and Cape Fox. The experience and expertise that Mr. Parks synthesizes in this training module is one of a kind," conveys Zack Sionakides, TS/RODS Program Manager.
The 'Total Control' Course is designed for students who have been riding for at least one year and have their own bike. Class attendees must have a valid motorcycle license, and have street legal bikes with current registration.
The TS/RODS program was developed to significantly reduce deaths and injuries as a result of traffic and recreational accidents. The current program includes training in basic, advanced, and sport-bike motorcycle safety; basic and advanced off-road vehicle safety; traffic safety and recreational safety.
CFPS centrally manages and directs the administration of the TS/RODS Program which has already trained 7076 Marines, including 1915 USMC motorcyclists since the program's start in September 2008.
