The M2M Shop Floor Manager is a manufacturing execution system which eliminates the need for paperwork to communicate shop schedules, manufacturing instructions, and material lists. The solution also consolidates labor and inventory transactions and allows customers to more efficiently manage production with instant access to shop floor status and functions.
The latest release includes more than 125 enhancements, all of which were developed using customer feedback and requests. One new feature, Production Analyzer, significantly improves scheduling and inventory valuation accuracy. By tracking manufacturing time against standards, it provides a rich data set for reviewing actuals and variances. Management can then correct the data (e.g., removing prototype and other projects) before mass updating standard routings.
Shop floor communications and documentation also are improved in the new release. Manufacturing staff can now capture production notes, such as material shortages, which can then be applied to both customer orders and product information, as well as forwarded to a management queue for production supervisors. This paperless process significantly speeds and simplifies the capturing of critical manufacturing information for production, cost, and customer management.
