In celebration of National Employee Benefits Day, CheckPoint HR Benefits Group, an affiliate of CheckPoint HR is a licensed insurance agency dedicated to delivering a broad range of employee health benefits solutions and custom plan designs, today has announced a new division focused on retirement and 401K benefits. Director of Retirement Services, Donny Sheinwald, offers the following tips to help organizations keep employees educated about retirement benefits:

1.    Investment Checkup
Investment checkups are just as important as health checkups. Most people only look at quarterly or yearly statements--however it is extremely important to review your investments on a regular basis. Sit down with your retirement specialist or benefits administrator to ensure that your investments are aligned with your current goals.

2.    Benefits 101
From 401Ks to pensions and IRA's, many organizations offer a variety of benefits to employees. Make it a point to meet with employees to ensure they are aware of all the benefits programs available. HR and benefits administrators should encourage all participating employees to attend enrollment meetings which can serve as an open forum for employees to ask questions. Semi-annual or even quarterly meetings can help educate employees of their options and also update them on changes such as new contribution limits, etc.

3.    Accessibility
Employees want accessibility and control over their information--retirement and investment accounts included. Offer employees the ability to participate in online benefits enrollment. Providing employees self-service capabilities will encourage them to review and manage their benefits options more frequently.

"It is important for employees to keep focused on their long term retirement strategy regardless of the changing dynamics of the economy," said Tim Padva, co-founder, chief executive officer, and president, CheckPoint HR and CheckPoint HR Benefits Group. "As we celebrate National Employee Benefits Day, everyone at CheckPoint HR would like to honor the HR professionals and benefits administrators helping to optimize the human capital within their organization."

CheckPointHR Benefits Group provides organizations with comprehensive retirement solutions that can maximize employee participation and investment potential, and manage retirement plans with optimum efficiencies. When integrating with the CheckPoint HR's Web-based HRMS platform, benefits and payroll administration is automated and streamlined enabling time-savings and error reduction.
