Mammoth Agreement with PacNet Expands Mutual Footprint

Mammoth Networks has inked an agreement with PacNet LLC to expand its footprint through the addition of Embarq, CenturyTel and Verizon to the company's private network in the Pacific Northwest. The agreement allows Mammoth additional reach into Alaska and Canada, and provides PacNet access to Mammoth's continental US data services. As a result, both companies expand their product line for the benefit of their data clients.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 4, 2009 -- Mammoth Networks has inked an agreement with PacNet LLC to expand its footprint through the addition of Embarq, CenturyTel and Verizon to the company's private network in the Pacific Northwest. The agreement allows Mammoth additional reach into Alaska and Canada, and provides PacNet access to Mammoth's continental US data services. As a result, both companies expand their product line for the benefit of their data clients.

Mammoth has established an interconnect with PacNet, enabling the company to provision data circuits throughout PacNet's coverage area. This expanded coverage includes CenturyTel and Embarq in Oregon and Washington, and Verizon in Oregon, Washington and Northern Idaho. Because PacNet also services Alaska and Canada through their carrier relationships, the expansion is of significant benefit to Mammoth's Service Provider clientele.

PacNet also benefits from this agreement, gaining access to Mammoth's ATM and clear-channel capabilities throughout the lower 48 states. PacNet has already rolled a significant portion of its legacy network to Mammoth, accessing capacity to rural markets.

"Mammoth is continuing to develop relationships that benefit our Service Provider partners," stated Brian Worthen, who heads business development at Mammoth. "Although we service these areas with private-line, the addition of more traditional services like ATM and Frame Relay will help our customers remain competitive."

Mammoth has been using PacNet's interfaces for more than three years to provide a reach into rural parts of the Pacific Northwest. The companies recently agreed to share Network to Network Interfaces at a wholesale level.

PacNet LLC is a division of NuOz. In operation since 2001, PacNet has focused on the creation of private WANs. PacNet is a facilities-based data carrier serving their customers with a nationwide network that services hard-to-reach areas such as Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. The privately-held company is based in Bellevue, Washington.

Mammoth Networks is an aggregator of data services, serving fourteen Western states with their layer 2 DSL network and the lower 48 states with their private-line services. Mammoth enables its Partners by erasing the invisible lines of the telecommunications structure, and leveling the playing field for Network Providers. The privately-held company is based in Gillette, Wyoming.
