Advanced Systems Group Grows Significantly in 2008 by Helping Clients Cut Costs and Save Energy

Advanced Systems Group is able to expand and grow its business, with new territories, services and personnel, by helping customers cut costs and save energy.

Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) April 7, 2009 -- Advanced Systems Group (ASG), the Denver-based IT consulting, integration, and project management firm, today announces significant company growth in 2008 with the addition of several new territories, professional services, and experienced personnel. ASG focused much of its efforts on helping clients cut costs and save energy.

David Sosnowski, President of ASG comments, "Companies today are looking for new ways to trim costs. ASG experienced a large amount of growth last year because we focused on partnering with companies that manufacture cost-efficient components and then we developed services that provide the most effective implementation of these new technology solutions. As a result, the last quarter of 2008 was one of our highest grossing in the history of the company."

ASG created several new jobs in all major departments, focusing most of its growth in engineering, to broaden and strengthen its technical expertise. Overall, ASG had over 20% growth in personnel last year.

ASG hired a significant number of personnel specifically to fill new offices. In 2008, the company opened new offices in Seattle and Colorado Springs, helping clients in those regions optimize technology to advance business goals and address current IT challenges such as cutting energy use and lowering costs. ASG has plans to open several more offices in the upcoming months.

Patrick Smith, Vice President of Sales says, "The Seattle office we added less than a year ago has quickly become a successful and well-established source of business for ASG in the Northwest region. We expect a similar level of prosperity in our newest offices. And with the excellent staff we have now, I have no doubts we can reach that goal."

In addition to new staff and offices, ASG expanded its professional services. For example, ASG greatly expanded its data center relocation services in 2008. These services focus efforts on training technical experts to thoroughly plan for contingencies and potential problems in order to minimize risk and potential issues, while maximizing customers' business uptime. To feature its data center relocation services, ASG produced a special promotional video, available at www.virtual.com/dcmoveblues.

Additionally, ASG Professional Services now includes design and implementation services for CommVault Backup and Recovery, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Citrix Presentation Server and Citrix XenServer. These services fall under the same comprehensive umbrella of proven methodology and project management that consistently delivers quality, satisfaction and dramatic operational efficiencies.

In 2008, ASG built the Center for Virtualization Excellence (CVE)--a high-end computing facility designed to provide testing, benchmarks, demonstrations, and an executive briefing center. The advanced technology environment features current top server and storage virtualization technologies, where ASG engineers can research the interoperability and deployment of multi-vendor technologies in different architectures. The CVE demonstrates ASG continued commitment to customer service and its solution-based approach to IT challenges.

As part of its ongoing dedication to provide top-quality solutions, ASG has maintained and even elevated its status with many of the industry's top vendors. This year ASG achieved the prestigious NetApp ® Authorized Professional Service Partner (APSP) award--the highest level of competency in professional service delivery for NetApp technologies. ASG also elevated its status with Hitachi Data Systems to a Certified Solutions Provider. ASG experts now can provide implementation services for Hitachi's cost-effective software solutions. In addition, ASG retained its elite status in 2008 as one of the top five Sun Microsystems Executive Partners in the United States.

As a consistent member of the VAR Business Top 500, ASG pursues active involvement in the industry, maintaining the highest level of engineering certifications with partners and the vendor community.
