Everyone is a winner at Camp BB Riback. Every child is accepted regardless of his or her ability, and it is essential to allow them to discover their limits through the many activities offered at Camp BB Riback.

Camp BB Riback is a summer camp situated between the cities of Calgary and Edmonton along the shores of Pine Lake, Alberta Canada. The Camp recently completed several capital improvement projects to add new facilities and new programming for summer 2009.

A new state-of-the-art multipurpose building serves as a staff lounge, exercise room and arts and crafts studio. Next to the lookout point for junior campers, an open field has been cleared, creating a beautiful lakefront area where younger campers can go to sit and congregate during free time. It also serves as a cookout and programming area. Twenty-five new picnic benches have been placed around camp, the pool has been rebuilt, and vegetable gardens have been planted to grow fresh vegetables for camp consumption.

There is also a new Discovery Area with a beautiful garden. The LTP village for older Campers has been rebuilt with eight new cabins. The sports recreation areas have also been improved. The camp purchased new bikes and developed a new challenge course. The new comprehensive challenge course has a 60-foot Climbing Wall, a 150-meter Zip Line that is 50 feet above the ground, and a challenging ropes course.

Camp BB Riback will also be introducing new outdoor programs. All campers will have the opportunity to experience camping in the outdoors. Campers will learn about packing for trips, setting up tents, preparing meals, orienteering, and building a campfire. This year's outdoor program will be developed by the University of Calgary's Outdoor Department.

Campers are encouraged to participate in the wide range of activities and programs offered. The Camp Staff are not only trained in the specific activity areas offered, but they also take great pride in creating a supportive environment for all campers.
