JD Legends and K99.1 have partnered together to create the Legends Showcase where local and regional bands will compete for the opportunity to open for country music legend Tracy Lawrence and also win $1500. Only 5 bands will be selected from the application process.
Each band in the contest will play for 40 minutes and all 6 bands that are chosen to participate will be advertised on K-99.1 two leading up to the event. In addition there bios will be posted on http://www.jdlegends.com. The bands chosen to participate in this event will be chosen on song samples, places previously played, marketing material(i.e. website), mass appeal and originality. The event will be held on July 25, 2009 at JD Legends Entertainment Complex. The nation's #1 unsigned Country band "32 Below" will play after the event is finished.

JD Legends Entertainment Complex is a state of the art 22,000 sq ft. facility that offers Bowling, Sports Bar, Patio and Tiki Bar, 3 Sand Vollyball Courts and an Outdoor Concert Pavilion.
