New PDM for the BIT Group

BIT Group Introduces its new President of Product Development.

Schwalbach, Germany; Irvine, CA USA; Ludlow, MA USA (PRWEB) April 7, 2009 -- With a newcomer to management, the company is now introducing its new President of Product Development. As from April 1, 2009, Dr. Andreas Faulstich will be taking over a very strong team of approximately 50 developmental scientists and system professionals. Faulstich qualified in physics at Heidelberg University. He acquired his sound understanding of the branch at companies such as "Carl Zeiss", "Physik Instrumente", and "Sirona Dental Systems". Given these long years of experience focusing on medical technology, he is a specialist who is at home in the fields of optics, laser physics, the de-velopment of medical equipment and microscopy. His doctorate (completed at Konstanz University) coupled with the experience gained from working in other countries (ETH Zurich, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh) place him in a position to meet the demands of the globally operating BIT Analytical Instruments (http://www.group-bit.com).

Corporate management places high expectations in the new President of Product Development. CEO Marius Balger sees one of the greatest priorities in the integration of the development team in both the "Center Of Excellence for Software and Electronics" in USA and "Mechanics Solutions" in Germany. Balger also expects even better networking in developmental process for
FDA requirements as well as optimized project flows in time and costs.

The former Head of Product Development, Alfred Lang, already took over his new position as President Program Management & Business Development in the summer 2008, having successfully built up the product development department in Germany. In his new capacity he focuses on special customized solutions in the laboratory and for IVD-technologies as well taking care of the Key-account Management. He will be working closely with his successor on future new projects.

Thomas Eck, currently running product development at BIT will be returning as originally planned to his function as Chief Operating Officer concentrating on leading, steering and the organization of operative processes. Besides Germany, he is also focusing on the new locations in China and the USA.

In Dr. Andreas Faulstich, the company has gained an undisputed expert whose strengths lie in his highly operative project experience. Thanks to its employees and their extraordinary sense of commitment, the BIT Group can count on unwavering customer loyalty and benefits from an excellent brand image as OEM manufacturer of complex medical equipment. In the current difficult global situation, this is of significant advantage to the Group as a whole.
