Bonita Botanicals Joins Forces with Rhode Island's Children's Friend to Promote Children and Family First

Bonita Botanicals, one of the top natural skin product e-tailers, has joined forces with Rhode Island's Children's Friend, a non-profit organization that serves vulnerable children and youth through programs and services particularly in areas that help the child to learn and grow.

Owner, Bonita Boutin the Rhode Island natural skin care impresario is dedicating 10% of gross proceeds from her natural skin care line to help Children's Friend raise awareness of the plight of vulnerable Rhode Island children in support to bring about change and stability in their lives.

Children's Friend, a Rhode Island non-profit organization founded by Harriet Ware, has been serving at-risk children and youth since 1834. As Rhode Island's leading provider of child welfare, family support, mental health, and youth development services, their mission is to help young children reach their full potential with quality care and education. The Children's Friend possesses a successful rate of servicing over 16,000 local participants that in past years included:

  • 361 families with vulnerable, young children participated in comprehensive, home-based services and group sessions provided by the Family Support Initiative
  • 1,210 families received crisis intervention, parent support, and other services through the Family Support Centers
  • 1,559 children and their family members received individual and family counseling services addressing issues of loss, parent-child conflict, school and behavioral issues

And this is only a snapshot of a multitude of on-going services the Children's Friend continues to provide.
