Two Firms Collaborate to Build Online Learning for Registered Nurse Programs

Our partnership with Medical Animatics allows us to increase the quality of learning in our partner programs

Medical Animatics, LLC has announced the launch of collaborative partnership with Orbis Education to develop online learning modules for nationally-recognized academic nursing programs. The collaboration combines the strengths of two Indiana startups to develop online learning for the nursing industry.

"This is one collaboration that just makes sense," commented Harlon J. Wilson, President & CEO of Medical Animatics, LLC. "By combining our strengths in developing state-of-the-art medical animation, video, and interactive programming with Orbis' superior expertise in building, implementing, and hosting nurse education solutions, both organizations win. Our familiarity with producing customized content for health care and our expertise in new media technologies has helped Orbis to ramp up on the quality and quantity of development of learning modules, further enabling their expansion in implementing nurse education programming."

Orbis Education is a leading provider of outsourced nursing education solutions. Founded in 2003, with a focus on helping alleviate the profound nursing shortage in the United States, Orbis develops high-quality distance education in affiliation with partner educational institutions. Orbis has current relationships with the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing as well as with Marian College in Indianapolis, as well as healthcare relationships in California, Nevada, and Indiana.

"Our partnership with Medical Animatics allows us to increase the quality of learning in our partner programs," said Scott McCormick, Chief Operating Officer of Orbis Education. "We have worked closely with the team to grow our library of high-quality, focused learning activities. As we continue to grow and add academic partners, we will leverage these activities to improve quality and deliver the measurable outcomes our partners expect."

Medical Animatics' service offerings in the production of high-end 3D animation, video, and interactive web based programs have gained significant national interest as the firm has helped clients in medical, health education, life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturing, and sports performance enhancement to use visual media to express complex concepts involving the human anatomy. The collaboration with Orbis Education provides another avenue for the firm to pursue educational content development in the medical field which is expected to be an area of growth for both business given the aging population and corresponding national shortage of health care professionals. With innovative technologies provided by the Medical Animatics and Orbis collaboration, nationally recognized academic and health care institutions can take advantage of state-of-the-art visual and interactive media for online learning.

"We're proud to be working with Orbis in support of their efforts to provide nurse education programs. The key to success with any collaboration is in finding winning outcomes for participating parties," Wilson explained. "This collaboration brings together two innovative Indiana-based companies with mutually beneficial outcomes. In the end, Orbis' academic clients and the enrolled students also win as they partake in interactive high-end media for online learning."
