The Gravity Six Alliance and alliance partners garnered nine coveted District 6 ADDY Awards, the third highest showing in the 2009 multi-state competition.
"At this regional level, we're going head-to-head with some of the biggest names in the agency world," said Chief Gravity Officer Bob Blanchard.
Results were announced yesterday by American Advertising Federation District 6, which is comprised of over 6,000 members in 17 clubs throughout Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, including the American Advertising Federation of West Michigan (formerly Ad Club of West Michigan).
"When you consider that the district competition includes all the winning entries from Chicago and Detroit-based firms, and we ranked third in total awards behind Leo Burnett and DDB, that's pretty impressive," Blanchard noted. "These results underscore our pitch both to West Michigan companies and to those outside the region - West Michigan has what it takes to create breakthrough advertising and branding."
AAF West Michigan brought in a total of 32 District 6 ADDY Awards, the second-highest club total outside of Chicago. The honors included 19 professional and 13 student awards, with West Michigan students scoring higher than any other club in the district.
