IBG's upcoming webcast will address biometrics in e-prescriptions and the health care industry.

International Biometric Group (IBG) is pleased to announce its upcoming webcast Biometrics and e-Prescribing. IBG consultant Ashraf El-Arini will discuss the role of biometrics in e-prescriptions, as well as the existing and potential roles of biometric security in the health care industry.

The health care industry is transitioning from hard token and paper-based authentication systems to electronic systems due to a documented increase in fraud relating to prescription claims. Once implemented, the recently passed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will allocate $20 billion to fraud prevention, registry interoperability and computerized health records.
