Ward's next fight is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th in Oakland, against Colombian power puncher Edison Miranda. The fight will be televised by Showtime, and marks the first time Ward has fought as a professional in his hometown.
According to Jason Green, Vice President of Marketing, "Andre is a boxer whose career we've been following for a long time. He's a tremendously gifted athlete with good hand speed and power in both hands. We believe it's only a matter of time before he becomes the super middleweight champion of the world. What's impressed me even more about Andre is his charisma and business acumen outside the ring. We believe strongly in the S.O.G. brand and the message it delivers to boxing fans worldwide. We're proud to have Andre represent Pound 4 Pound Apparel."
