Guests checking into the Courtyard hotel in Shanghai's downtown Xujiahui district are immediately drawn by a certain vibe that pulls them through the lobby to the bright, colorful and lively MoMo Café. The fragrance of fresh herbs and spices together with the busy sounds from the open kitchen combined with the bustling of cheerful staff and the glow from the wood fire oven is an open invitation to a great meal and a warm welcome at the Courtyard hotel in Xujiahui, Shanghai.
"The name MoMo Café comes from the concept of Modern living and Modern eating." said Fitz Aguilar, regional vice president of operations for Asia Pacific. "Besides great food, the design and versatility of the space reflects how Courtyard continues to reinvent itself to best provide for its guests."
The newest all day restaurant for the Courtyard hotel in Shanghai's downtown area of Xujiahui, MoMo Café combines local cuisine with western favorites. The open bar and kitchen create a personable dining experience, offering up authentically prepared dishes such as tandoori chicken, Peking duck, and nua kem fried rice. Using the freshest ingredients, half of the menu is inspired by local cuisine while the other half offers a delectable selection of Western dishes such as pastas and burgers at the downtown hotel in Shanghai.
The superstar of MoMo Café at the Courtyard Shanghai hotel in Xujiahui is the wood-fire oven, cooking up tasty thin crust pizzas such as the original margarita pizza or the California pizza piled high with spicy roast chicken and grilled pumpkin, finished with avocado and coriander.
Complimenting the MoMo Café's exceptional menu at the Courtyard hotel in Shanghai's downtown Xujiahui district is a wide selection of custom fresh juices, made to order. Guests can concoct their very own juice, mixing favorites such as watermelon and pineapple with a variety of exotic choices such as wheat grass and passion fruit. A collection of wines is also available and carefully selected to bring out the flavors of the dishes. To provide that final satisfying taste, freshly brewed designer coffee is served alongside an assortment of local and international desserts all in the comfort of the hotel's lobby in Shanghai's downtown area.
Each MoMo Café, depending on country and location, takes on its own personality that compliments the atmosphere of the hotel. With high ceilings and two-story glass windows, the Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok MoMo Café is bright, modern and contemporary while the Courtyard by Marriott Beijing Northeast MoMo uses cheerful colors, modern sculptures, and crystals to create a warm ambiance. At destination properties such as in the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach in, Thailand, wooden and rattan lounge chairs on the terrace make for the perfect spot to watch the sunset.
Another element of MoMo Café is MoMo 2 Go, which is an all day convenience stand, fully stocked in the mornings with pastries and rolls at the Courtyard hotel in Xujiahui, Shanghai. At lunchtime, a collection of tuna, ham, cheese and a range of other varieties of sandwiches line up the counter, ready for guests who need a quick grab and go lunch.
