Skate and Longboard Website Adds New Products and Blog
Long running store, Boards on Nord launched a website last fall and has recently started a new blog, as well as added new products to their catalog.
Chico, CA (PRWEB) April 11, 2009 -- When people think about great cardiovascular activities, jogging, basketball and even tennis are often lauded as the sports to participate in; yet skateboarding is ignored by sporting traditionalists. According to a 2004 report by CNN, skateboarding can lead to better health and is no more dangerous than football or soccer.
For people who are less interested in kick flips and more interested in cruising around, longboards have provided an opportunity for people to get the same cardiovascular workout that skateboards offer.
Combining skateboarding equipment and apparel and longboards, www.NordBoards.com is the web counterpart to the Chico, CA-based store Boards on Nord.
"We have a great selection and we provide as many varied equipment as we can for our customers," said owner Josh Morrow.
Morrow and his staff launched the web version of their store in November 2008 in order to take Boards on Nord's wide catalog to a wider audience. While many skate shops typically specialize in skateboarding only, the store's convergence of longboarding and skateboards is somewhat unique, particularly online.
As the site begins to gain traction in its own right, Morrow is expanding their stock even further.
"We're adding several longboard brands such as LandYachtz and Madrid," he said. "We're also expanding our selection of skate shoes, too."
One of the unique features of the NordBoards.com is that customers have the options to order complete sets - which include everything from decks to skateboard wheels to trucks and the grip tape.
Another feature of the site is the new blog that debuted recently.
"We're going to post about longboarding, skating, maybe some of the watches and clothing that we have," Morrow said of www.NordBoardsInfo.com. "We can pretty much about blog everything."
With the future as bright as ever, Boards on Nord is taking the necessary leaps and bounds that puts them over lesser skate shops. Instead of putting a schism between longboards and skateboards, NordBoards.com is one of the few avenues that brings the two together.
