Pinpoint Laser Systems is introducing a new comprehensive set of adjustable mounting fixtures for the Laser Microgage measuring and alignment system.

Pinpoint Laser Systems is introducing a new comprehensive set of adjustable mounting fixtures for the Laser Microgage measuring and alignment system. Four new mounts allow the laser transmitter and the digital receiver to be secured to a variety of machines and production equipment right on the factory floor.

A new V mount with a securing cable centers the laser transmitter and receiver on a drive shaft or propeller shaft for precision measuring, placement and alignment. The new adjustable magnetic mount, secures the Microgage system and provides fine adjustment on large steel plates and panels used in shipbuilding, roll mills, structural steel manufacturing and other applications.

The newest Adjustable Roll Mount positions the Microgage Receiver on a roll, reel or drum surface for precision roll and web alignment. This mount allows the receiver to be turned so that rolls and idlers that are located on overhead machinery can be measured and adjusted precisely.    The fourth mount is a new Bore Mount that places the Microgage Receiver squarely in the center of a bore tube and is ideal for aligning extruder barrels, bearing sleeves, and similar sub-assemblies.

These four new mounts are integral parts to Pinpoint's popular Laser Microgage line. The Microgage is a precise, laser based measuring system that can be used right on the factory floor for checking and fixing alignment problems with equipment and production machinery. The Laser Transmitter produces a fine red laser datum line that is directed to a digital receiver and a display unit.

If the laser and the receiver are placed on an even surface the display will read zero, however, once the receiver is moved, the display will show its new position digitally. The Laser Microgage will measure displacements as small as 0.0001 inch and can be used over ranges as large as 180 feet for checking large machinery runs. The Microgage system is compact and easy to use and highly versatile. For this reason, the Microgage is commonly used in a wide variety of industries, including; aircraft and aerospace, medical, machine tool, paper mills, printing and converting, shipbuilding, utilities and much, much more.

Pinpoint is always developing new measuring systems and providing alignment solutions to a wide variety of industrial customers for their difficult manufacturing problems. For more information on these four new innovative mounts or the Laser Microgage line, please contact us.
