Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Official Red Carpet Premiere of "Say it in Russian" on May 3, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.

Company proceeds from theatrical release in Pittsburgh to be donated to Pittsburgh Fallen Hero Fund

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) April 15, 2009 -- The Carmike 10 Theater in Pittsburgh will be the site of Imperia Entertainment's (Pink Sheets: IMPN) red carpet Hollywood style premiere of its award winning romantic thriller, "Say it in Russian," on May 3, 2009, at 8:00 p.m., the day before its limited theatrical release. All of the company's portion of its box office receipts will be donated to the Pittsburgh Fallen Heroes Fund (http://www.pittsburghpolicefcu.com/) in honor of the three Pittsburgh police officers who were recently killed in the line of duty. Governor Edward Rendell's representative will be present, as well as Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl . Members of the City Council will present "Say it in Russian" with an official citation.

The red carpet events are the brainchild of Imperia Entertainment, Inc. and distributor Dalton Pictures & Entertainment Company. Together, as independent film "underdogs," they seek to take advantage of the deterioration of the art of film as presented by the major studios to introduce quality filmed entertainment. "Film is America's most important art," said Jeff Ritchie, president of Imperia. "Unfortunately, instead of raising the intellectual bar of the audience, it has been dumbed down to the lowest common denominator." The two companies are united in bringing back a revival of quality films. "Of course we can't compete with the power and money behind the big studios," said Jerry Dalton. "We just think that there are people out there who are disgusted with watching generic Hollywood garbage," and we are reaching out to that market with our independent film series."

The leads of the film as well as local Pittsburgh celebrities will attend the Gala red carpet premiere to kick off the theatrical release, which will be covered by the local media. The cost of a ticket is only $5, and the public is welcome to attend.    Tickets for the event can be purchased at http://fandango.com.
