Everest Announces "Cellar Celebration" Wine Program

The only program in the nation of its kind, Chef-Proprietor J. Joho of Everest Restaurant encourages patrons to dust off their favorite vintage wines, 21 years or older, and bring them to Everest for a perfectly paired course and unique presentation of the wine's history.

Wine and food connoisseurs rejoice! Everest may have just created the perfect gourmet experience. Chef-Proprietor J. Joho is encouraging wine lovers to look to their own collections and choose their one, most favorite prized bottle for an extraordinary dining experience. Chef Joho's just-launched program, "Cellar Celebration," offers patrons the opportunity to dust off favorite vintage wines, 21 years or older, and bring them to Everest for a perfectly paired course.

"In this economy, many of our guests have been looking to gems in their own cellars rather than adding to their collections," said Chef Joho. "They have stories around the wines they've acquired, and we're looking to enhance that story by creating a custom course that complements that rare bottle."

As part of the dining experience, wine director David Johnston will present guests with the unique history surrounding their wine. "This is a distinct opportunity to enjoy a special bottle paired with world-class cuisine in an elegant setting," said Johnston. The wine director tells guests there is no better time than now to open one of their prized bottles in their cellar. "After all, what are you waiting for?" said Johnston. "The optimal experience is here and now."

"Cellar Celebration" is available Tuesday through Thursday evenings at Everest. One bottle is welcome per table. Guests must make a reservation and inform the restaurant at least 48 hours in advance as to which vintage bottle they are bringing. All wines must be 21 years old or older. There is no wine service fee, and guests will go home with a memento about their bottle of wine and the course created by Everest.
