We're looking forward to working with the New York Yankees to offer America's finest meats at America's finest stadium.
New York (PRWEB) April 15, 2009
The New York Yankees and gourmet meat purveyor Lobel's, two New York institutions, have teamed up to bring some of America's finest meat to Yankee Stadium. With the start of the 2009 baseball season, visitors will be able to purchase Lobel's USDA prime beef throughout the Stadium. In addition to the internet, at lobels.com, Yankee Stadium is the only retail location, other than Lobel's Prime Meats on Madison Avenue, where the public can buy meats from the famed New York butcher.
To showcase the art of fine butchering, Lobel's will have a demonstration shop on the field level concourse near Section 133 -- a replica of the venerable Lobel's Prime Meats on Madison Avenue. Fans will be able to watch Lobel's butchers trimming and preparing different cuts of beef, which will be used at dining venues throughout the Stadium. The butcher shop features a display of Lobel's signature dry-aging process. In addition, a nearby portable carving station will offer fresh Lobel's steak sandwiches for purchase.
Fans in the Luxury Suites and in select restaurants within the Stadium will be able to order menu items prepared with meats from Lobel's. Moreover, during the game all Luxury Suite guests will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of hand-cut meats from Lobel's to take home after the game. Finally, the Home Plate Store will stock pre-selected packages of frozen meats from Lobel's in refrigerated cases.
"The Yankees are America's top sports franchise and meats from Lobel's are the best of the best. This is a very complementary relationship," noted Mark Lobel, co-owner and fifth generation butcher. "We're looking forward to working with the New York Yankees to offer America's finest meats at America's finest stadium."
Lobel's specializes in gourmet meats--the finest USDA prime, Natural Prime and American Wagyu beef, all-natural lamb, veal, poultry, Berkshire pork and specialty products. Lobel's history dates back more than 170 years, and the Lobels have cultivated a reputation as the "butchers to the stars" for the celebrity clientele that has flocked to their Madison Avenue storefront in the heart of Manhattan's Upper Eastside. The Lobels expanded their business nationally in 2000 with an online butcher shop and mail-order service backed by the family's legendary customer service and the promise of fresh overnight delivery of their meats. They have since been rated as the top mail-order steak purveyor by a number of prominent critics.
