Newton, MA (PRWEB) April 16, 2009
Lyra Research, the digital imaging authority (http://www.lyra.com), will host a free, live Webcast, "The China Market Heats Up," on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 12 p.m. EST. The Webcast will be presented by Jiqiang Rong, Lyra's director of primary research; Larry Jamieson, director of Lyra's Hard Copy Industry Advisory Service; and Frank Stefansson, Lyra's CEO and executive vice president. Featuring key findings regarding the Chinese digital imaging industry that Mr. Rong recently highlighted in his highly rated 2009 Lyra Imaging Symposium presentation, as well as top-level numbers for ink jet and laser devices from two of Lyra's recently released forecast reports, this Webcast is a "must-attend" event for anyone interested the latest hardware and supplies trends that are impacting the Chinese market.
Specifically, the Webcast will discuss new hardware releases in China in 2008 by brand and some of the OEMs' new strategies for targeting Chinese customers. Photo printing, ink advantage printers, inexpensive cartridges, and other strategies will be covered. Mr. Rong will also discuss the Chinese aftermarket industry, including an analysis of new entrant Shandong Forever, a next-generation aftermarket manufacturer.
"During the Webcast, we will present our views on key hardware and supplies trends in the Chinese market. One thing in particular that we will discuss is the new printer releases in China over the past year. It's interesting to note that four-fifths of the 113 new hardware devices introduced in 2008 were ink jet and mono laser devices, which are driving the growth of the market. Of the 40 ink jet printers and MFPs that were introduced, only five were home printers, the rest were office and photo printers," said Jiqiang Rong, Lyra's director of primary research. "We want our Webcast participants to come away with a vivid snapshot of what is currently going on in the Chinese digital imaging industry and the OEMs who are leading the way so that they have a solid foundation on which to gauge their future market endeavors."
