edu1world.org offers public and private on-line communities and technology profiles of thousands of Colleges and Universities and information on technology solutions for higher education administrators. Registration is free and allows administrators to find the best Student, Financials, HR, CRM, Advancement, and other solutions implemented by institutions like theirs. With the unprecedented growth of the site to over 60 countries, edu1world announces a contest to honor the open and transparent global education community that edu1world is engaging.

It's always a struggle for colleges and universities to get the information they need and to find peer institutions with similar technology profiles. Vendors don't release their customer lists. It has taken us over 8 years to compile the comprehensive technology information that we are making available on edu1world.org. We are essentially a large user community for higher education

http://www.Edu1World.org, a higher education administration (http://www.edu1world.org) resource for administrators to connect, collaborate and find technology solutions for their institutions, has announced a contest to recognize the viral nature of the site in the education community and to celebrate edu1world's unprecedented growth to over 60 countries in just 5 months since the site was officially launched. The contest recognizes the edu1world .org member in each on-line community who expands their on-line community with the largest number of new members.

Since the formal launch in November, the site has continued to expand the resources available for higher education administrators - now supporting additional public and private on-line communities that range from large vendor user groups to state college and university systems focused on common technology solutions. With the viral adoption of the site outside North America in over 60 countries, edu1world .org is adding content to the institution technology profiles. Key focuses include Student, Financials, HR, CRM, Advancement, Business Intelligence and Learning Management systems, to further facilitate collaboration, the sharing of resources, and identifying complimentary technology.

Registration on the site is free for education administrators and staff. The site helps institutions locate peer institutions and colleagues to find the best vendors and products for their institutions. In todays economic environment Colleges and Universities cannot afford to buy costly solutions that don't complement each other and provide a clear return on investment. It can be difficult to get information and make a solid decision.

"ed1world.org fills a real need that education administrators and staff have been struggling with for years. Budgets continue to shrink and travel for meetings and conferences is extremely difficult. Private user groups on edu1world allow institutions to share information and learn from each other. Our on-line communities and institution technology profile database can help constituents find each other, share information, ideas and even code," said Vicki Tambellini, President of The Tambellini Group, which owns and operates edu1world.

"Administrators can also find smaller vendors that can extend the value of the top ERP vendor solutions. Connecting with peer institutions has never been easier," said Tambellini.

Tambellini wants to provide a valuable resource for higher education administrators and vendors of all sizes. "It's always a struggle for colleges and universities to get the information they need and to find peer institutions with similar technology profiles. Vendors don't release their customer lists. It has taken us over 8 years to compile the comprehensive technology information that we are making available on edu1world.org. We are essentially a large user community for higher education," she said.

Membership includes the ability to post and access profile information at the individual and institutional level. Other features of edu1world.org include finding institutional software and technology profiles, vendor information, and access to reference materials and organizations that serve higher education.

"Education is a global conversation and edu1world.org facilitates collaboration and the sharing of best practices and technology solutions among higher education administrators in over 60 countries. Now, higher education institutions, user groups and all the organizations that serve this community have a single place to access information, collaborate, and contribute. Our private on-line communities and user groups provide a secure and private place for members to connect and share best practices and technology solutions with their colleagues without the added cost of travel. Best of all, the information shared among institutions can be captured so all institutions can benefit," says Liz Dietz, General Manager of edu1world.org.

edu1world.org supports dozens of public and private on-line communities and has populated their institution technology profile database with tens of thousands of data points. With the growing participation from the global higher education community, edu1world.org will provide the most complete source of information available to help institutions and individuals answer important questions that have largely gone unanswered or were answered incompletely in the past.

With the unprecedented growth and adoption of the site in over 60 countries, edu1world.org will continue to change the way that higher education receives, communicates and shares information with other institutions.
