Women-Unlimited, Inc. will hand out awards to 7 Corporate Partners and will celebrate their 15th Anniversary at a Conference in Phoenix, AZ.

Corporations who are investing in high-potential female talent, development and retention will be honored for their commitment by WOMEN Unlimited, Inc. WUI is a nationally recognized resource for cultivating leadership excellence. The organization, based in Manhattan, partners with companies to develop their high potential women through their unique development programs. The programs focus on competencies essential for women's success. This includes long term development programs, mentoring, networking and benchmarking best practices.

Rosina Racioppi, President & CEO of WUI, says these companies will be recognized at WOMEN Unlimited's 15th Anniversary Conference (http://www.women-unlimited.com/home/home.html) on April 23, 2009 in Phoenix, AZ. "We are recognizing these partners for what they have done to create a diverse environment but it goes beyond that. We are applauding each corporation for having developed creative initiatives to help women move forward. The partnership each company has with us focuses on developing women to better understand what they can do to more effectively navigate their organizations. This will in turn help them to respond to opportunities provided by their companies. The result is that we have empowered and smart women who are highly skilled and competent in corporate America."

Seven Special Recognition Awards will be given to:

  •     Adobe Systems Incorporated, headquartered in San Jose, CA
  •     Alcoa Inc., based in Pittsburgh, PA
  •     American Express OPEN in New York City
  •     Colgate-Palmolive Company, located in New York City
  •     Bridgestone Americas, headquartered in Nashville, TN
  •     John Deere, based in Moline, IL
  •     Medco Health Solutions, located in Franklin Lakes, NJ

Since its inception, more than 7500 women have participated in three levels of programs offered by WOMEN Unlimited. The development programs help lay the groundwork for the next generation of corporate women leaders.

At the April conference, the group's new book Women Are Changing the Corporate Landscape: Rules for Cultivating Leadership Excellence, written by Racioppi, WUI Founder Jean Otte, and Jill Ferguson will be distributed.
