The Working Title is proud to announce a new album, BONE ISLAND, which will be released digitally on May 9, with retail distribution by RED Distribution in August. Following the departure of the band's other four members, singer-songwriter Joel Hamilton began to write at a frenetic pace, fine-tuning the songs into this career-defining record. This is The Working Title's second full-length, following 2006's Universal Records release, ABOUT-FACE.

After releasing some solo material in 2008, Hamilton decided to record another album as The Working Title. Listeners will find a matured record that ties together an assortment of influences such as Spoon, The Beatles, and David Bazan and an array of experimentation with intriguing arrangements and styles. The record is ambitious and eclectic, offering something different to every listener.

The music on BONE ISLAND ranges from college radio-friendly indie rock ("Physical Love" and "You Should Know") to some of the most raw, experimental music that The Working Title has ever put out ("Dead Inside" and "Wolf"), to songs that will surely draw in longtime fans but give them enough of a twist to keep them guessing ("Sugar for My Sugar" and "Listen, Read, Decide").

Hamilton locked himself in his newly-finished home studio with producer and friend Jake Sinclair, and together they stripped down, rebuilt and recorded the album in three weeks. "I've lived in Charleston my whole life, so I pulled in some friends to play on the record and it was one of the best recording experiences I've ever had," he says. Rebuilding what he now describes as his "one-man band," the three-year-long labor of love finally came to fruition.

In the past eight years, The Working Title has played with bands such as Counting Crows, Augustana, Mute Math, mewithoutYou, and many others. Their music has appeared in a number of television shows, the feature film American Wedding, and most recently, "Physical Love" off of BONE ISLAND appeared on TNT's new hit show, Trust Me. To begin building buzz for the new album, "Dead Inside" will be featured as an exclusive download on AbsolutePunk.net beginning April 9.

BONE ISLAND will be available at all major digital retailers on May 9 and in retail stores through RED Distribution in August. The band has launched a new website through social network Ning.com. To see the new website, please visit: http://www.theworkingtitle.com.
