The innovative idea started in December 2008, when Michael Munar, the co-founder of Hot Import Nights, a large national touring car show, and producer of D1 Grand Prix USA joined the company as the Vice President of Business Development. A month later, Michael McGinn, co-founder of World of Dance and Dance Tag TV, joined the team as Vice President of Technology. It is under this new leadership that PubDistrict developed its latest launch, which they anticipate will be the next online evolution of nightlife websites.
ClubDistrict.com will replace the popular Southern California site http://www.pubdistrict.com, with a more national and up-to-date website. The local success of Pubdistrict.com has been documented in national magazines such as 944 magazine and Skinnie Magazine.
In the last 8 years, the company has also managed to attract content partnerships with several industry giants such as Wantickets.com, Track Entertainment, Groovetickets.com, ClubZone.com and Freedom Communications who operates newspapers in more than 50 markets.
ClubDistrict.com will be its national successor, with 20 national markets launches slated for May alone.
The company plans to allow nightlife entrepreneurs such as club photographers, event producers, and competitors to utilize its nightlife platform to start their own nightlife marketing business and share the online traffic generated across its national network at no cost.
