HRchitect, the leader in HR systems strategic consulting, and the premier Human Capital Management (HCM) and Talent Management systems consulting firm, has confirmed that theHRshow 2009 is going virtual and has been extended to a three day event.

“As we continue to be in one of the most challenging business environments in recent memory, we have made the decision to postpone theHRshow on-site conference until early 2010 and create a virtual event in place of the currently scheduled 2009 event,” stated Matt Lafata, Conference Chair for theHRshow and the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for HRchitect.

Today’s economic conditions are forcing organizations to make smarter HR technology decisions than ever before. As a result, theHRshow was created by industry experts and senior level practitioners who know what kind of challenges HR and HRIS professionals face on a daily basis. theHRshow will include 18 virtual sessions and four moderated panel discussions full of invaluable information on the puzzling world of HR Technology. The sessions and panels will be held over a three day period, June 10-12, 2009. Best of all, theHRshow virtual conference has been made available free of charge to the HR community through the generosity of our sponsors.

Multiple tracks of sessions on June 11 and 12 will take place around:

  • Talent Acquisition including Onboarding, Assessments, Background Checking
  • Talent Management including Compensation and Performance Management, Workforce Planning
  • Emerging Trends and Technologies including Social Networking, Web 2.0 and HCM Portals
  • HCM Strategy
  • Managing HR Systems
  • Professional Development

Four panel discussions will take place on June 10 from leading vendors in the areas of Onboarding Systems, Talent Management Systems, HR Systems, and Learning Management Systems.

“HRchitect has exhibited at three industry trade shows so far this year and each has had a fraction of the attendance from years prior,” added Tiffany Appleby, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications for HRchitect and theHRshow. “The remaining 2009 shows have predicted similar conditions, with attendance expected to be down 50% or greater. We want to be sensitive to HR professionals and companies in these trying times while providing a tremendous resource. Offering free educational sessions where attendees can learn and receive HRCI credit accomplishes just that.”

theHRshow 2009 virtual conference sessions are innovative, thought-provoking and will appeal to many different groups of people who have roles in the use of talent management and/or HR systems. The world class presenters and leading vendors participating in the panels have been carefully selected over the past few months. HR professionals can visit http://www.thehrshow2009.com to see a list of sessions and register online.

“As the HR community knows from previous dealings with HRchitect, we don’t settle for second best in anything we do,” stated Lafata. “There are simply too many organizations cutting travel budgets for shows in 2009, and we believe it is in everyone’s best interest to provide a first-class virtual conference this June and delay the on-site conference itself until early 2010. We are looking forward to the 2010 conference truly being the largest regional HR technology conference in the industry, as advertised.”
