Different soaps will benefit bodies in different ways and by explaining each purpose, I hope that will be attuned to what would work for them best.

Since mid-2006, http://www.TheLavenderPig.com has provided people with healthy handmade bath products. Everything on the website is made by founder, Leigh Black, who began making handcrafted soaps while attending a craft fair.
"I started making candles and I went to a show and saw someone with handmade lotion," she said. "I loved it and I started looking for recipes and it evolved from there."
What evolved was the variety of products that Black was able to make. From body spray to shower gels, TheLavenderPig.com has nearly everything that can be found at any drug store or specialty shop - and the best part is that they're all handmade.
With the website being nearly three years old, Black is currently working on including new products on her website.
"I'm looking to add sugar and salt scrubs, body powders and critter soaps for kids," she said.
Unlike other bath product chains, the items at the Lavender Pig are affordable, thus making Black's homemade body wash amongst the most reasonable and appealing on the market during this particular economic downturn.
"I want people to come back and pricing soaps at a high cost doesn't seem prudent to anyone," Black said. "I price everything for the average person to buy and I'm an average person, too."
These ideals, as well as other information regarding Black's products, will translate to her recently launched blog, http://www.TheLavenderPigBlog.com.
"I'll be writing about the benefits of some of our products like Shea butter and goat milk," said Black. "Different soaps will benefit bodies in different ways and by explaining each purpose, I hope that will be attuned to what would work for them best."
From new products to a new blog, the Lavender Pig is making expansions that would take months for other companies, and the freedom that the company enjoys as an independent entity allows Leigh Black to allow her modest goal to come into fruition.
"My goal is to moisturize the world," she said jokingly. "These products are good for the body and I want people to be able to enjoy them."
About the Company:
The Lavender Pig is owned and operated by Leigh and Brent Black. All the products are made by Leigh Black herself.
