I want everyone to feel loved and appreciated,

A little green is all it takes to help the Farmer's Kitchen, part of the Hollywood Farmer's Market, spur organic growth in the neighborhood. Located in the heart of Hollywood, The Farmer's Kitchen will be a commercial teaching, processing and retail kitchen for the sale of prepared food and farm-fresh produce. The revenue from the Farmer's Kitchen will support nutrition education programs and provide job training in food preparation for Hollywood's low-income residents. As an extension of the Hollywood Farmers' market it will be a daily source of healthy, affordable food for Hollywood residents of all income levels.

"With rates of diabetes and obesity on the rise, a facility that teaches how to cook with fresh food as well as giving local farmers another outlet for their produce seems like a perfect solution," comments Terry August, owner of Fancifull Gift Baskets. She was eager to organize a fundraiser so the kitchen could buy needed furniture for the café section.

Raise a glass in toast to this exciting project while sampling the bounty of California. Join other food enthusiasts on Friday May 1st from 6-9 pm at the store and design studio of Fancifull Baskets, 5617 Melrose Ave., just steps from Paramount Studios. Enjoy an array of wines, organic and sustainable, as well as a California Cheese buffet, olives, chocolates and other delicacies. There is always abundance at any Fancifull tasting event.    Meet some of the vendors from the Hollywood Farmer's Market, focus in on the chocolate table and learn more about how The Farmer's Kitchen will be a great addition to the community.
