Two QHR Management Clients Named to Thomson Reuters' 100 Top Hospitals® Rutherford Hospital, Inc. and Wooster Community Hospital Honored for Performance Excellence
Rutherford Hospital, Inc., a QHR management client since 1983, and Wooster Community Hospital, a QHR management client since 1994, were recently ranked among the top 100 hospitals in the United States in overall organizational performance by Thomson Reuters; the results of the healthcare company's 100 Top Hospitals® National Benchmarks Study were announced March 30.
Brentwood, Tenn. (PRWEB) April 18, 2009 -- Rutherford Hospital, Inc., a QHR management client since 1983, and Wooster Community Hospital, a QHR management client since 1994, were recently ranked among the top 100 hospitals in the United States in overall organizational performance by Thomson Reuters; the results of the healthcare company's 100 Top Hospitals® National Benchmarks Study were announced March 30. The study, which has been conducted annually since 1993, evaluates hospital performance in nine areas: mortality, medical complications, patient safety, average length of stay, expenses, profitability, cash-to-debt ratio, patient satisfaction and adherence to clinical standards of care.
"The 100 Top Hospitals® winners raised the bar again this year, delivering a higher level of reliable care and greater value for their communities and payers," said Jean Chenoweth, senior vice president for performance improvement and 100 Top Hospitals® programs at Thomson Reuters.

In addition to being named a Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospital®, Rutherford Hospital was also recognized with a Thomson Reuters Everest Award for National Benchmarks. The Everest Award recognizes those hospitals among the 100 winners that deliver the greatest rate of improvement over a five-year period. Twenty-three Everest awards were presented this year.
