Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) April 19, 2009
e-Builder, a provider of capital program and project management software, will host an executive webinar on April 23rd at 12 p.m. EDT - 9 a.m. PDT on Overcoming Challenges in Reporting Project Costs and Risks to Owner Stakeholders. Ms. Alexia Nalewaik CCE MRICS, Senior Manager with Moss Adams, LLP will share her insights. Jonathan Antevy, e-Builder's co-founder and CEO, will moderate the session and share his insights on how e-Builder has been providing owners with visibility and accountability related to project costs years before the recent ARRA requirements popularized these terms. To register, please visit https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/944111464.
The webinar is meant to educate facility owner/operator stakeholders who rely on project reports to make decisions during capital project planning, design, and construction. Ms. Nalewaik will demonstrate how reporting can too often be inadequate - there may be too much or too little information, which confuses the Board or executives; or data may be misrepresented, incomplete, unreconciled, not validated, or simply inaccurate. The resulting decisions often end up generating risks that can spell disaster for an owner's capital plan.
One of the key takeaways from the webinar will be to identify common pitfalls in project reporting, discuss the differences between the data that accounting software can provide vs. a project management system and how stakeholders can leverage the right data to improve the capital project delivery process, and provide guidelines for periodic, consistent, useful reporting to upper management.
