TrafficMetrix Updated Traffic Counts Now Available From Spatial Insights

Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) April 19, 2009 -- Spatial Insights is pleased to offer the newest release of MPSI's TrafficMetrix®, the most extensive and current traffic count data for the U.S. Version 9.0 contains 1,209,365 traffic count locations with 26,301 data points newly added or updated for this release. Over 66% of the total counts are dated Year 2000 or more recent. The geographies updated in this release are Anderson, IN, Raleigh-Cary, NC, and the Texas counties of Abilene, Lubbock, Midland, and Odessa. Additionally, Department of Transportation updates for the state of Wisconsin have been incorporated.

MPSI painstakingly compiles TrafficMetrix® from the hundreds of municipalities that measure traffic volume. The collected data are then standardized, geocoded, and aligned to the street networks for easy use within GIS software. TrafficMetrix® is readily available in most GIS formats.
