GPS City (http://www.gpscity.com) is pleased to announce that the highly-anticipated Garmin Zumo 660 will begin shipping at the end of April. Serving as a strong start to the second quarter for Garmin and just in time for riding season, this all-purpose motorcycle navigator is already at the top of most cyclists' wish lists. It boasts a slim body design, wide screen, advanced Junction and 3D building views, and a host of other "under the hood" improvements over its predecessor, the top-selling motorcycle GPS unit, the Garmin Zumo 550.

The Zumo series has made Garmin a dominating force in the market, owing largely to their special attention to the needs of bikers. Bluetooth connectivity allows users to receive spoken GPS directions directly through their headsets, keeping eyes on the scenery and the road. Large icons and an innovative, large-format keyboard on the touchscreen let riders type in destinations without removing gloves, which many riders admit saves valuable riding time. Worth noting as well is the inclusion of multiple mounting options for Zumo owners. The units will come packaged with a handlebar assembly and a suction cup mount for motorcycle and automobile use, respectively.

Garmin will also be including a DVD copy of the North American mapping software that comes preloaded on the Zumo 660. This will allow users to pre-plan their routes and upload them directly to their Zumo 660s. Owners will be able to choose the road systems they prefer and select stops along the way for sightseeing, fuel, lodging, and more from the comfort of their home computer. Additional mapping of most countries can be purchased on DVD or preloaded SD/MicroSD data cards so the Zumo 660s can ride along side their owners no matter where in the world they may travel.

The Zumos are universally recognized as the user-friendly, feature-rich motorcycle alternative to Garmin's incredibly successful Nuvi series, and the Zumo 660 will be a welcome addition to the lineup. Compatible with the recent nuMaps Lifetime map updates offered by Garmin, it is positioned to continue Garmin's market domination for years to come.
