Chuckie Goodnight Foundation For The Environment Launches Kids Green E-zine: 'Be Green with Chuckie and the Crew' Features Eco-Friendly Games and Projects

In honor of Earth Day, and as an extension of its commitment to making every day Earth Day, the Chuckie Goodnight Foundation For The Environment, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing environmental education for children and preserving green space, is pleased to announce the launch of its Be Green With Chuckie and the Crew e-zine for children.

Brewster, NY (PRWEB) April 22, 2009 -- In honor of Earth Day, and as an extension of its commitment to making every day Earth Day, the Chuckie Goodnight Foundation For The Environment, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing environmental education for children and preserving green space, is pleased to announce the launch of its Be Green With Chuckie and the Crew e-zine for children.

Created to encourage children to make environmentally-friendly choices throughout the year, Be Green With Chuckie and the Crew features Chuckie Goodnight and his loyal crew of plant and animal friends sharing the many ways in which they are kind and gentle to Mother Earth each day. The inaugural issue of the e-zine celebrates Earth Day with interactive projects for children as well as fun facts about the Earth. The e-zine also encourages children to submit their own eco-friendly artwork and news for possible inclusion in an upcoming issue.

The July 20, 2008 USAToday article Environmental Education Gets a Green Light reports interest in environmental education appears to be soaring. The article also reveals that 'learning green' has a variety of meaning across different schools and classrooms.

"With our e-zine we hope to build upon the green lessons children are learning at school and inspire children to use their green knowledge at home and in their community," said Cherie Ingraham, founder of the Chuckie Goodnight Foundation For The Environment. "When children are taught to be green from an early age, they have the opportunity to affect a lifetime of change and improvement for Mother Earth."

Distributed quarterly, each edition of Be Green With Chuckie and the Crew will feature children's art submissions, eco-friendly games and puzzles, an interview with a member of Chuckie's crew, as well as a fun, Earth-friendly project that children can complete at home.
