Lake Norman's Biggest Loser Pound for Pound Parade

Physician's Plan contest participants will collect food for the Huntersville, NC food bank.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) April 22, 2009 -- Physician's Plan weight loss and fitness challenge, Lake Norman Biggest Loser, is giving more back to the community than just a demonstration of the importance of health and wellness. They are collecting donations for the Huntersville food bank, Loaves and Fishes.

The Pound for Pound Parade on April 25, 2009, will have 45 participants in a parade for charity where each team will push grocery carts decorated like parade flots within the community of Huntersville. The carts will be filled with food items weighing the number of pounds that the team has lost in the contest to date. At the final destination they will turn over the nearly 1,000 pounds of food to a representative from the Huntersville food bank, Loaves and Fishes.

Contestants will begin decorating their carts donated by The Fresh Market prior to the parade start at 2:00 pm. The parade route will weave through the shopping area of the Huntersville Business Park. The parade will begin and end in the parking lot of Reimel's Dentistry with prizes being donated to the team with the best decorated grocery cart.
