Tinton Falls, NJ (PRWEB) April 22, 2009
Today the Central Jersey Campaign for Liberty submitted its first Issue Questionnaire to all publicly declared candidates for the office of Governor of New Jersey.
Twelve individuals have expressed their intent to enter the race for Governor of New Jersey, including Democrats Roger Bacon, Ken Balut, Carl Bergmanson, Jeff Boss, the sitting governor Jon S. Corzine, Republicans David Brown, Chris Christie, Brian Levine, Steve Lonegan, Rick Merkt, and Independents Chris Daggett and Pastor Shannon Wright.
The Central Jersey Campaign for Liberty will distribute the candidates' answers for the voters' consideration prior to the primary election on June 2. Answers are due from the candidates by May 15.
The focus of the Issue Questionnaire is on matters important to individual liberty and prosperity, including the candidate's commitment to the Consititutions of the United States and New Jersey, property taxes, education funding, eminent domain abuse, the public employee pension system, an out of control New Jersey Supreme Court, the problem of the Federal Reserve, the constitutional right to keep and bear arms, potential political repression by the Department of Homeland Security, the dangers of federal intelligence-gathering "fusion centers" in New Jersey, the issue of state sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment, and the issue of medical marijuana.
The Central Jersey Campaign for Libery will publish the candidates' answers to the questions between May 16 and the primary on June 2.
