They demonstrate simple yet important benefits that ScreenScape can offer any public venue
(PRWEB) April 24, 2009
Fredericton New Brunswick's premiere live performance venue, The Playhouse, today marked six months on ScreenScape which they use to power their own PlayhouseTV - an Internet-based network of screen displays that regularly showcase upcoming events and performances, local news, and ticket information.
"We have a simple yet sophisticated need to be able to communicate effectively with our customers when they are in our building." says Playhouse Executive Director Tim Yerxa. "Like most cultural venues, we depend heavily on repeat business. So one of our most important marketing efforts is simply to make sure everyone who comes through our doors is aware of the new and upcoming entertainment experiences we offer. ScreenScape helps us to do this by making it easy and cost-effective to get our content up on a screen where patrons might see it while they buy a ticket or share a drink at intermission".
ScreenScape (http://screenscape.net) is an Internet Service and community that offers a smarter, simpler and more cost-effective way to use dynamic screens in your venue. The service has been described by pundits as Web 2.0 digital signage as it combines professional display authoring tools with the content sharing principles and techniques of social media.
"We'd like to congratulate The Playhouse on reaching the six month mark", says ScreenScape President and CEO Kevin Dwyer. "They demonstrate simple yet important benefits that ScreenScape can offer any public venue".
Early members, The Playhouse now leads a growing list of soft-seat theaters participating in the ScreenScape community including, more recently, The Confederation Centre of the Arts and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
