Graeme Baxter the world's leading golf artist had the honor of presenting his painting of Mission Hills 18th hole to Brittany Lincicome, winner of the 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
What a perfect way for Brittany to remember her winning hole. She hit two brilliant shots on 18 to set up a 4-foot eagle putt that she rolled in to win her first major championship on Sunday, March 29th. "I can't even describe it, it's surreal really," Lincicome said. "The fans were so great cheering for me. Walking up alongside the grandstand onto the 18th green was a great feeling."
At a private Champions party, Brittany signed Prints and Giclees. It was a wonderful evening with a beautiful Giclee presented to Brittany with another on display at Mission Hills Country Club located in Rancho Mirage, California.
Graeme Baxter is renowned for his original golf art landscape oil paintings of signature holes from the world's most prestige's golf clubs and has been commissioned for the past six years by the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
"We've had such a success with the previous golf landscape paintings of Mission Hills signature holes over the past five years and we're excited to continue to be a part of Kraft's LPGA program" states Graeme. "It's the one tournament I look forward to the most, year after year because the Kraft team is great to work with and the crowds are fun."
In recent years Graeme has been commissioned to do portrait paintings for PGA and LPGA Champions, the likes of Padraig Harrington and Paula Creamer. For professional golfers and their sponsors, lithograph prints of the original painting are great for awards, corporate gifts and charitable donations.
