Field Technologies, an innovator in GPS tracking and logistics systems, announced today they have adopted Garmin International's fleet management interface (FMI) into their product portfolio.
Field Technologies can now directly integrate Garmin's navigation systems into FieldLogix, its proprietary GPS fleet tracking product. The two systems will have the ability to work together seamlessly and will allow businesses to experience the benefits of a combined GPS tracking and turn-by-turn driver navigation solution.
The new product released last week, named FieldLogix +NAV, presents a unique opportunity for fleet owners to further optimize their business and provide better service for their customers. Users will be able to send messages and routing information directly to drivers in the field, which will result in better response times and less travel time.
"We are pleased to work with Field Technologies, and are confident their customers will appreciate the added dimension Garmin navigation brings to FieldLogix," said Roger Jollis, Garmin's director of OEM and mobile marketing. "Garmin navigation devices are designed to be intuitive and will give Field Technologies' customers the tools they need to navigate to their destination efficiently."
This technology will allow a whole class of breakthrough products that fleet managers can use to improve their customer satisfaction and increase technician buy-in for GPS tracking systems, something that has been a problem in the past.
"We are constantly looking for out-of-the box solutions to address the most challenging needs of our customers. In light of the current economy, our customers are telling us that they need tools to help improve their response times to keep their clients happy." stated Yukon Palmer, of Field Technologies, "FieldLogix +NAV will help these companies improve response times, retain hard-earned customers, and bill more hours."
