Freshly launched web store, DeeDeeSales.com has a unique take on photography, combining the technical aesthetic of analog film and the modernity and ease of digital cameras. Recently, the site's founder sat down to talk about his background and his new website and blog.

There's something about processing your own film and having a good negative to work with, but you can even process your own pictures now with just a computer.

James Dewar has had an interest in photography dating back to his teens, so when it came time for him to start his own business, he revisited his love of cameras and the visual arts.

In April 2009, Dewar started http://www.DeeDeeSales.com, a website that specializes in camera equipment and accessories. "After I graduated high school, I worked at a camera store and I was able to indulge my passion for photography," said Dewar. "Starting this site has rekindled my feelings."

The photography medium has changed quite a bit since Dewar's younger days, but he's been able to stay active and his store reflects this with its wide selection of digital cameras, web cams, and binoculars.

Dewar is focusing on the future, carrying an array of digital cameras that would make any and all technology nerds salivate.

Another unique feature of DeeDeeSales.com is the corresponding blog that Dewar created recently, http://www.SnapShotChatter.com

The blog gives tips on the different uses for the devices that appear on Dee Dee Sales, much of which comes along with the knowledge and passion that Dewar carries with him.

"I'm having fun with digital pictures, transferring them to a computer and toying with them," said Dewar. "There's something about processing your own film and having a good negative to work with, but you can even process your own pictures now with just a computer."
