FASTHockey (http://www.fasthockey.com) announced today a partnership with OneHockey, the premier International Summer Tournament, to provide live streaming and archives on-demand for the 6th Annual AAA International Summer Tournament held this June and July in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The 6th annual tournament is expected to host over 120 quality AAA teams this summer. "OneHockey offers the number one summer hub regarding competition, scouting and networking opportunities for teams, players, vendors and coaches," said Sebastian Fortier, President of OneHockey, "Partnering with FASTHockey gives us the opportunity to provide exposure for these kids to viewers around the world."
FASTHockey signed the agreement having just come off a successful season of broadcasting over 3,000 live ice hockey games including nearly the entire slate of USA Hockey National Championship games and the IIHF World Under 18 Championships. "We are excited to extend our partnership with Seb and the tournament he has put together, " said Marc Ruskin, President of FASTHockey, "These are the kinds of events we love to do in the off-season so parents, players, scouts, and fans can watch these kids compete."
OneHockey is unique in its ability to scout, appeal and showcase the most prominent youth hockey talent from all over North America by assembling select teams representing states, provinces, countries and "continents". Each team is assigned a professional youth hockey coach who hosts tryouts and scouts the talent for his/her team. This has proven to be a great experience to the players who; are surrounded by top talent, meet new friends, get exposed to new ideas, receive influence from new coaches, communicate tips related to on and off-ice hockey etc. The environment also enables scouts to analyze how a player handles unfamiliar situations, much like the experience on a national team or a pro-team, at a young age. Former OneHockey players Max Nicastro (Detroit Red Wings) and TJ Brennen (Buffalo Sabers) were recently drafted in the NHL. Many more players are expected to follow from them.
Games will be offered on a pay-per-view basis. FASTHockey uses a unique game-credit system for viewing games, offering discounts to customers who watch multiple games. Users who want to watch one or more games must first sign up for a free account at video.FASTHockey.com. Users can then buy game credits - a single game ranges from $6.99 (when one game credit is purchased) to $3.99 (when 100 game credits are purchased). Game credits can be used to watch live games or archives on demand and never expire.
FASTHockey (http://www.FASTHockey.com) is the premier online destination to see live streaming video of amateur ice hockey games from across North America. The feature rich platform is frequented by scouts, recruiters, coaches, players, parents, and fans from around the world. Hockey fans can not only see live and archived games, but also build robust profiles, research and track teams, get updates on recent scores & news, and monitor college commitments.
