Renowned addiction and chronic pain treatment center Twelve Oaks Recovery Center hires new Executive Director.

I am honored to have this opportunity to join an organization with a tremendous reputation for quality care, and look forward to getting the word out so more people can access some of the best chemical dependency services in the country

Twelve Oaks Recovery Center recently appointed Bob Lehmann as the new Executive Director to oversee operations at its world-class chronic pain and addiction treatment facility in Florida.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, 23.6 million people aged 12 or older need treatment for an illicit drug or alcohol use problem. And an estimated 50 million Americans live with chronic pain, according to the American Academy of Pain Management. Many of these individuals face both conditions -- chronic pain and addiction -- at once. For more than 25 years, Twelve Oaks has actively supported the effort to treat adults and teens suffering from chronic pain, drug dependency, and addiction.

With over 38 years of experience in health care, Mr. Lehmann has overseen all types of programs, ranging from psychiatric hospitals to inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency treatment programs for both adults and adolescents. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of a 108-bed dual diagnosis residential treatment program for adolescents. He is also actively involved in giving back to the community, serving on the board of directors for a number of youth programs and committing his time and expertise to a broad range of charitable organizations.

"I am honored to have this opportunity to join an organization with a tremendous reputation for quality care, and look forward to getting the word out so more people can access some of the best chemical dependency services in the country," said Mr. Lehmann.

In his first few weeks, Mr. Lehmann, who earned a master's degree in Management with a concentration in Mental Health Administration from Antioch University New England, has hit the ground running setting goals and making plans for 2009.

"Our focus at Twelve Oaks is to provide an excellent treatment experience that will lead to recovery for each person who walks through our doors," said Mr. Lehmann. "My goal is to strive each and every day to improve the services we provide, and I think Twelve Oaks has built an excellent foundation that will only be strengthened going forward."

The staff of addiction and pain experts at Twelve Oaks provides medical monitoring, individual, group, and family therapy, 12-Step meetings, nutritional counseling, relapse prevention and discharge planning, and a variety of additional therapeutic interventions that help patients address addiction and chronic pain.

"In the short time I've been here, I've already seen how dedicated the staff is to helping people -- they are personally committed to the patients from the time they call until after they leave, and truly want them to succeed," said Mr. Lehmann. "When you find this degree of dedication and quality, you know you've found a truly enjoyable working environment at a program that makes a difference."
