iCIMS’ CEO, Colin Day, Named a Finalist for Green Executive of the Year Award
Day Recognized by NJBIZ for Outstanding Environmental Achievements
Hazlet, NJ (PRWEB) April 23, 2009 -- iCIMS, the third largest provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition solutions, announced today that the company’s CEO, Colin Day, has been recognized as one of seven finalists in the Green Executive of the Year category in the inaugural NJBIZ Green Leadership Awards.
The NJBIZ Green Leadership Awards honor and celebrate New Jersey’s businesses and executives for their achievements and initiatives committed to the environment in the state of New Jersey. The finalists are being recognized for their commitment to energy conservation, green education, environmental innovation, green building, pollution prevention, recycle/reuse, and alternative energy. Finalists will be recognized and the winners in each category will be announced during a luncheon awards ceremony on June 2, 2009.
CEO Colin Day expressed his enthusiasm over the NJBiz Green Leadership Awards, saying, “I am honored to be nominated for Green Executive of the Year and consider it recognition of the dedication and hard work of the entire iCIMS team in giving back to the environment.”
Day’s nomination stems largely from iCIMS’ iCARE program, an initiative which Day spearheaded that enables employees to support a clean and healthy environment through donations of time, talent, or money. In addition to company-wide beach and park clean-ups, iCIMS participates in such initiatives as purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates to offset iCIMS’ electric usage, supporting a matching policy for employee donations to renewable energy research facilities and maintaining partnerships with both Clean Ocean Action and Earth Share of New Jersey.
Furthermore, in conjunction with the iCARE program, iCIMS recently adopted a nearby beach through the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in a demonstration of continuing commitment to the environment. Under this program, volunteers can adopt a beach and conduct biannual beach cleanups in the Spring and Fall to remove debris that threatens the environment. On April 17th, iCIMS’ employees joined together in a volunteer effort to do a beach sweep of this Union Beach, NJ location.
