USOBA Announces Its First Annual Financial Fitness Day

Houston, TX (Vocus/PRWEB ) April 23, 2009 -- The United States Organizations for Bankruptcy Alternatives, a trade association dedicated to the advancement of consumer protection in the debt settlement industry, announced today its unique summer event designed to build economic awareness for Chicago residents.
On June 6, 2009 USOBA will host its first ever Financial Fitness Day at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, Illinois. The event is designed to inform the citizens of Chicago how to effectively manage their debt. Financial Fitness Day will be full of entertaining and educational activities touching on all different areas of debt and debt solutions.
Financial Fitness Day will feature several speakers who are veterans in different segments of the financial industry to inform the attendees on a variety of topics such as setting a budget, identity theft protection, credit counseling, government assistance, and many more useful topics.
“The USOBA team is so excited to be able to offer this unique event to the city of Chicago. We have an exceptional opportunity to inform the public on the financial challenges that so many of us face in today’s tough economic state,” USOBA Executive Director Jenna Keehnen said.
The cost of the event is five dollars or five non-perishable food items. All proceeds will go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the not-for-profit food distribution and training center that provides food for the hungry while striving to end hunger in the Chicago community.
